A safe place to begin again

Papas House of Hope is a faith-based transitional housing program for teen mothers in Marshall and Etowah Counties, Alabama. We provide more than shelter- we offer stability, support, and a fresh start grounded in love, dignity, and grace.

Why We Exist

Every year, young mothers face homelessness, abandonment, or unsafe living situations - often with no one to turn to. We believe no young women should walk through motherhood alone. At Papas House, we meet her where she is, and walk beside her towards where she’s going-building life skills, parenting confidence, spiritual strength, and long-term stability

Our Approach

We don’t just “fix problems.” We nurture potential.

We walk with each mother - patiently, personally, and prayerfully.

Our program is built around

Compassion

without judgment

Structure

without shame

Faith

Why

“Papas House”

This home carries a name rooted in both grief and grace.

Our founder lost her beloved son at just 2 1/2 years old - a bright light known affectionately as “Papas.” In the midst of unimaginable loss, a seed of purpose was planted

The name Papas House is both a tribute and a promise:

To honor the life of a child who brought love, joy, and light into the world -

and to extend that same light to young mothers and children in need of hope

Here, “Papas” lives on - not only in memory, but in mission

At Papas House of Hope, we believe every life matters. Every story matters. And even the deepest pain can be transformed into healing when it’s placed in the hands of a loving God.
